When Students Struggle: Remediation Strategies for PA Educators

This interactive workshop is designed for PA educators engaged in learner support, academic success, and remediation efforts. Explore comprehensive approaches to remediation in PA education, including early identification of learners at risk, development of individualized remediation plans, academic and professional performance interventions, documentation strategies, and methods for fostering student resilience and retention.

Participants will examine evidence-informed practices that support equitable and effective remediation while balancing learner accountability with compassionate educational support. Led by experienced PA educators, this workshop provides attendees with practical tools and actionable strategies to strengthen remediation processes, improve communication and feedback practices, enhance student retention efforts, and promote successful learner outcomes across the didactic and clinical phases of PA education.

This workshop is designed for PA education faculty and staff who are involved in remediation in PA education.
